My twins started at the Nursery Wistaston when they were two and a half, attending one day a week to give mummy a rest! I felt huge guilt and very selfish about putting the boys into nursery but i can honestly say, it’s the best decision I made for my children. They soon began attending two days a week They have thrived in the care of all the staff, who are nothing but supportive to both children and parents.
Leanne encouraged me to phone up when I felt anxious leaving them to let me know that they were perfectly happy.
The intermediate and preschool staff supported me and the boys through the potty training stage, for which I will always be grateful.
The food menu is always healthy and nutritious, Kerry the chef is obviously magic as they always eat their lunch and dinner at nursery.
The recent refurbishments are beautiful, I love the set up, but hand on heart, the element that makes the Nursery Wistaston so special is all the staff. They are all incredible, I completely trust that my children will be cared for to the highest standard always. I will always be grateful to them all their hard work in teaching my boys new skills, both socially and educational, and more recently preparing them for school. I’m sad that our time at the nursery is almost up.
The nursery was absolutely the right decision for my family, I couldn’t recommend them enough.
Our daughter started at The Nursery in January at 10 months when my maternity leave ended. I had originally planned on going back to work part-time but unfortunately, my work required me to return full time and so finding the perfect nursery became even more important to me. We had several settling in sessions to start with, I then left my daughter for half a day and then we went straight into full time. The staff at The Nursery have been fantastic. They encouraged me to phone as many times as I wanted/needed to during her first week and they really did everything they could to make the transition as easy for us as they possibly could. We’re now 3 months in and I couldn’t be happier. My daughter is so pleased to see the ladies in the morning and goes to whoever is working with a big smile. She is learning so much every day and the food provided is amazing. We’re always a little jealous! The Nursery was definitely the right choice for us and I couldn’t recommend them enough.
You really do care for the children as if they are your own. Nothing is too much trouble. I love the activities that you do with the children. The facebook updates and the daily diaries used to communicate are great.
Individual care and attention is given daily. Great activities, great food! Staff always notice children’s individual interest which is fantastic. Friendly and welcoming staff that have a wonderful rapport with the children.
Our team make nursery a wonderfully inviting and exciting place to be. Understanding this unique phase of your child’s early years means they are there to support you through each stage of parenting.
The nursery environment plays a vital part in children’s well-being. We believe that children should feel a sense of belonging at nursery and so everything about the rooms, resources and furniture we use is designed to encourage independence and foster childrens’ self confidence. In keeping with our overall philosophy and approach to early years teaching, the environment too is influenced by a range of early years approaches, including Steiner, Montessori, High Scope and Reggio.
One of the first things you will notice is that nursery looks inviting and enticing to not only children, but adults too! Provocations for learning and play are everywhere to be seen and child sized furniture and resources tell children that this is a space for them. Somewhere to play, imagine, create, experiment and be together.Find Out More
